Salutatorian (2nd in their graduating class). Do NOT let anyone tell you that you cannot be in band for 4 years
and not take all the right classes to get into a major university. Band is THE ticket for major college entry!!!! A
quote from the recruiter for Stanford University, “We can only take a limited number of freshmen. I look for kids
who were in band.”
